The Proviso™ Plus P200A-EM
The Proviso™ Plus P200A-EM system is designed for controlling the self-steering lift axle on SPIF 21 and 23 trucks, with Air Ride suspension. This includes lifting the axle in reverse, with the Emergency Lift Axle Override, and when the truck is empty. The system also lowers the axle when the truck is loaded.
The P200A-EM also provides controls for locking the self-steering axle, a max load indicator, and an external valve heater.
Features
- Lifts the truck’s self-steering axle while reversing.
- Emergency Lift Axle Override functionality
- Automatically lifts and lowers based on weight
- Steer-lock activation at 60km/h
- Max load indicator
How it works
Reverse Lift
The reverse lift feature uses the Wheel Monitor Reverse Sensor to determine the trucks direction. When the truck has reversed approximately 8 inches, the reverse lift feature activates. The Reverse lift feature remains active until the truck moves forward 50 feet without stopping. The forward distance setting can be altered.
Emergency Lift Axle Override Feature
The Emergency Lift Axle Override feature can be activated by the driver at anytime, when travelling under 60km/h. The feature is activated by turning the 4-way flashers and the Emergency lift Axle Override Switch ON. The feature will deactivate if the 4-way flashers are turned OFF, the emergency lift axle override switch is turned off, the truck travels above 60km/h, the truck stops, or the feature has been active for 3 minutes.
The 4-way Flasher Feature is available for replacement purposes and trucks outside of Ontario.
Load Control
The load control feature can lift and lower the lift axle based on the load condition of the truck. When the tandem axle suspension pressure is above the lower down setting, the axle lowers. Oppositely, when the tandem axle suspension pressure is below the lift up setting, the axle lifts. Both the lift and lower settings are adjustable.
Steering Lock Control
The steering lock control feature can be used to lock the self-steering for straight operation. The feature activates the lock when the truck is in reverse or traveling over 60km/h. The lock will deactivate below 60km/h and traveling forward.
Max Load Light
The max load light feature can be used to activate a light when the trucks suspension pressure reaches or exceeds the max pressure setting entered during the installation. The max load light can be mounted in the cab or outside the truck to indicate that the truck has reached its maximum load.
External Heater Control
The system provides a temperature control output for heating valves or other components that are high risk for freezing. The output will activate when the system detects the temperature is below its internal threshold.
